In addition to the resources found in our disease information pages, the following websites and organizations also have great resources for the MEN community.
- The Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation offers information and education to those with neuroendocrine tumors. NETRF is the leading private funder of research into causes and treatments of neuroendocrine tumors in the search for a cure.
- Thyroid Cancer Survivors’ Association, Inc. is a non-profit organization of thyroid cancer survivors, family members, and health care professionals. They are dedicated to support, education, and communication for thyroid cancer survivors, their families and friends. They also sponsor Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, year-round awareness activities, and thyroid cancer research fundraising and research grants.
- The Pituitary Network Association is an international non-profit organization for patients with pituitary tumors and disorders, their families, loved ones, and the physicians and health care providers who treat them. Their mission is to support, pursue, encourage, promote and where possible, fund research on pituitary disorders in a sustained and full-time effort to find a cure for these illnesses.
- MTC Educate, A Medullary Thyroid Cancer education website from University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
- The International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA) is a global non-profit focused on raising awareness, advocating for better care, and supporting research for neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) and neuroendocrine cancers (NECs). INCA works with member organizations from around the world to improve patient outcomes, facilitate early diagnosis, and ensure access to optimal care. INCA also organizes events such as NET Cancer Day and shares resources for patients, caregivers, and medical professionals.
- INCA has recently developed an educational series specifically for primary care providers (PCPs) to help them better understand and manage neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs). Since AMEND USA members may receive some or all of your care through PCPs, we encourage you to share this important resource with your healthcare team. Early and accurate diagnosis is key to better outcomes, and these materials can help improve your PCP’s understanding of your condition. Access INCA’s Think NENs in Primary Care.
- INCA also provides a variety of materials specifically designed to help patients and caregivers navigate their diagnosis. We encourage you to explore these resources, which include information on MEN disorders and neuroendocrine tumors. You can access the full range of materials in the NET Info Packs (available in up to 11 languages). Here are some key resources for MEN patients:
- The National Adrenal Diseases Foundation informs, educates, and supports those with adrenal disease and their families to improve their quality of life.
- The American Diabetes Association’s mission is to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. They fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes; provide objective and credible information; and give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
